Key Purpose 

  • SDM Asset Management and Consulting is looking to recruit a Business Development and sales Consultant to work closely with the Business.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for New Sales and Marketing, upselling, new business development and networking; provide prospective clients with all services needed and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities: 

  • Agree targets and KPI’S, take overall responsibility for the achievement of Sales and Consulting objectives in terms of driving sales volumes and customer retention targets.
  • Grow the base of new clients through effective targeting of prospects.
  • Identify potential new clients / business opportunities for all SDM AMC solutions.
  • Research and develop marketing opportunities.
  • Develop sales strategies per identified opportunity.
  • Lobby, meet, present, and follow up on all identified opportunities
  • Preparation of quotes and bids for existing and/or potential new clients – on own and/or in conjunction with the Bids Team.
  •  Gathering, investigating, and summarizing industry, market data and trends to identify potential new clients and service offerings.
  • Build new relationships and grow them efficiently.
  • Perform client/stakeholder management on existing clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new sales and marketing opportunities
  • Conclude Sales/Convert sales.
  •  Achieve upon agreed KPI’s for a given period
  •  Attend weekly sales meetings.
  •  Report on actual sales vs target sales. 

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ Business Development and Sales experience including proven track record of Actual clients with closed deals in addition to the following:

  • Business to Business Sales experience (Fixed Asset Management understanding -Advantageous)
  • Ability to build client partnerships and work in cross-functional teams, especially with relationship and sales team.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility.
  • Must at least have serviced the public sector.
  • Ability to handle multifaceted volumes of workloads and to reach targets and deadlines on a timely basis.
  • Have been successful working across organizational boundaries.
  • Proficiency in computing systems relative to MS Office and CRM Software

Educational Qualifications:

  • Marketing/ Business Management degree or Other relevant/equivalent qualification.
