Skills and Experience

  • BTech with specialization in HR/Labour Relations/Industrial Psychology or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience working in HR with a specific focus on Employee Relations inclusive of initiating and chairing of disciplinary hearings and appearing at the CCMA up to and including arbitration level
  • Recommended: Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law, trained facilitator, trained mediator

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

  • Employee relations (interpretation and compliance with legislation, implementation of best practice principles and investigations)
  • Coordination and support for disciplinary matters
  • CCMA representations (All processes)
  • Stakeholder management (staff, organized Labour, HC, Management, external stakeholders)
  • ER Related training and development
  • Internal consultation on all Labour Relations matters
  • Mediation of internal disputes
  • Effective communication and administration
