A Day in the Life:
- Medical Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive medical communication strategy aligned with our overall business objectives. This includes identifying key opinion leaders (KOLs), managing scientific publications, and developing compelling materials for healthcare professionals.
- KOL Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key dermatologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. This involves organizing advisory boards, facilitating scientific exchange, and ensuring continuous engagement with KOLs.
- Scientific Content Development: Develop high-quality, scientifically accurate, and engaging content for various channels, including scientific publications, medical education materials, and presentations for healthcare professionals.
- Medical Review & Approval: Manage the review and approval process for all promotional and scientific materials to ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Internal Collaboration & Training: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment on medical communication strategies. Provide training to internal stakeholders on scientific information and product knowledge.
Professional & Technical Competencies Required:
- Scientific Acumen: Solid scientific background with a deep understanding of dermatology, skin biology, and skincare ingredients.
- Medical Communication Expertise: Proven experience in developing and executing medical communication strategies for healthcare professionals.
- KOL Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish rapport and credibility with KOLs.
- Content Development & Writing: Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear and concise language for different audiences.
- Regulatory & Ethical Awareness: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and ethical guidelines governing medical communications.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, MBChB, Pharmacology, Biomedical Science, or a related scientific field.
- 3+ years of experience in medical communications, medical affairs, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or dermocosmetic industry.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing medical communication strategies.
- Experience in engaging with and managing relationships with healthcare professionals.
