Duties

  • The incumbent serves within the Diplomatic Technology (DT) section and reports directly to the FS-02 Digital Technology Customer Engagement (DTCE), and then the FE-OC Diplomatic Technology Chief (DTC). The incumbent provides technical support for all DoS networks, to include OpenNet, ClassNet and DIN.
  • The incumbent supervises the DT/CE Admin Assistants (2) and the Mission Mobile Program. Performs strategic planning, ensures compliance, integrity, and security of all data and networks, and ensures that the team is operating against consistent standards and approved procedures.
  • Coordinates and directs local IT staff in applying the configuration and security standards required for the implementation and running of the networks. Assists with budget planning, system and project planning and evaluating for the Mobile Portfolios.
  • Due to work location and duties, the incumbent requires a Top Secret and crypto clearance. May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the DT/I, DT/CE or DTC. On Call work is needed.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Five years’ experience in the IT Field, or related Program Management, software deployment, or network engineering is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Two years college studies are required.
