Superintendent: Service Bay needed at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• Relevant trade tested Artisan.
• A valid code EC drivers’ licence.
• Three to four years’ relevant work experience.

Key attributes and competencies:

• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and at least on other official local language.
• Good report writing.
• Good organisational, problem-solving, and supervisory skills.
• Analytical and technical skills in assessing, understanding, and delivering business requirements.
• Be highly health and safety conscious.
• The physical attributes for the performance of tasks associated with specific key performance areas in this post require that the incumbent be physically fit and able bodied.
• As part of the selection process, the recommended candidate will be required to undergo a medical examination at the Municipality’s Occupational Health and Safety Division.

Job purpose:

• Coordinating and controlling the operations in the workshop, 
• Inclusive of monitoring and implementing procedures, 
• Establish resource requirements, planning and scheduling maintenance programmes and evaluation outcomes,
• Monitoring and attending to deviations in productivity and performance,
• Attending to specific administrative and information reporting requirements and processes.
