Job Description

  • To ensure the efficient execution of marketing strategies and campaigns to maximize the impact on the target audience and achieve business objectives.
  • To assist in streamlining and optimizing the processes and systems involved in bringing a product or service to a segment/ market. 

Responsibilities

Tactical Implementation

  • Collaborate with marketing leaders to implement segment go-to-market strategies by coordinating various marketing activities, including product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Work with Marketing teams to provide recommendations based on insights. Collaborate with various stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

This includes:

  • Collaborating with Brand and Strategy team to both understand areas for improvement, consultation and further explorations as well as to advise on trends and insights gained
  • Collaborating with GTM community and segment regarding campaign processes, workflows etc.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to inform marketing strategies and identify new opportunities.

GTM Planning, Coordination Delivery

  • Collaborate with marketing leaders to implement go-to-market strategies by coordinating various marketing activities, including product launches, promotions, and campaigns within the segment
  • Oversee marketing projects, timelines, and deadlines, ensuring that campaigns are executed on time and within budget
    Support the implementation of activities in the relevant Segment Marketing portfolio through accumulation of market and product intelligence and efficient project coordination. 
  • Ensure best practice in marketing within the channel in alignment with the organisational and segment strategy. Provide training and support to marketing team members on new tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and coordination in executing go-to-market plans. 
  • Ensure that execution of plans are aligned to local market preferences
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to assess the performance of campaigns and initiatives. Use data insights to make data-driven decisions and recommendations for future strategies.
  • Create and maintain documentation of marketing processes, performance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Support and coordinate work to be performed by service providers
  • Establish the most efficient use of resources, i.e. cost, people, time, etc.
  • Put effective methods and standards in place

Process Optimization

  • Define and monitor the execution of processes and procedures for the BU Portfolio. Ensure that workflow continues without interruption 
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures implemented are aligned to the set operational framework for the BU
  • Evaluate existing marketing processes and identify areas for improvement, streamlining workflows, and ensuring that marketing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage marketing technology tools and software platforms that enhance marketing operations and enable better tracking and reporting
  • Create and maintain documentation of marketing processes, performance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing campaigns.

Reporting

  • Identify and prepare relevant information and data for reporting purposes
  • Make assessments of and draw solutions from qualitative data. Make logical deductions and draw conclusions that can be motivated
  • Create and maintain documentation of marketing processes, performance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing campaigns.

Governance, Policies, Quality and Procedures

  • Input into the establishment of systems and sound practices in order to comply with best practices, legislation or other regulations and guidelines
  • Ensure that marketing activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR or industry-specific guidelines.
  • Ensure effective implementation of (and compliance towards) company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Assist with providing solutions to escalations that impact on critical path of service delivery
  • Proactively flag and escalate issues and manage impacts on resources, cost and productivity
  • Check, analyse and understand regulatory and technological environments and shifts which impact the business, continuously. 
  • Establish and maintain quality standards that will enhance the customer experience and cost efficiency
  • Work consistently according to standard operating procedures 
  • Understand the quality standards of the job and the reason for these standards, and communicate these reasons to others 
  • Understand and communicate the consequences of not maintaining quality focus 
  • Seek feedback from clients and stakeholders and continuously seeks ways of improving on quality and customer service standards

Qualifications

Education

  • 3 year Degree / Diploma in Commerce (Marketing / Communication) or related
  • Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body as required for role

Experience 

Minimum 2 years’ experience including:

  • Relevant sector/industry/area of specialisation (understanding emerging markets advantageous)
  • Worked across diverse projects, cultures and geographies
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization
