Overall purpose of the role
- Overall review of company processes to collaborate, support and drive effective business improvements with project teams.
Key responsibilities
- Primary liaison between disability team and project office ensuring that project objectives align with operational goals.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on disability claims processes, policies and procedures to project team.
- Participate in project planning sessions to provide guidance and direction in refining business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization within the disability claims workflow, leveraging project resources to implement enhancements.
- Perform UAT tasks on behalf of business on project developments, for successful deployment into BAU operations.
- Act as operational feedback loop between business and project teams.
- Regular feedback loop to project teams on progress, issues and solution for successful project deliveries.
- Act as the subject matter point of contact for cross-functional teams, providing clear and concise communication regarding project developments and their impact on disability claims operations.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to team members to build their expertise in disability claims.
Experience and qualifications
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and National (vocational) Cert. Level 4
- National Certificate: Business Analysis (will be an advantage).
- A minimum of 7 or more years’ experience in a Group Risk environment with experience in a Group Risk – Disability Claims with a good working knowledge of the MIP-GLR system
Knowledge and skills
- Excellent product knowledge and understanding of the Group Risk Industry and Pricing principles.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive for Business, MS SharePoint and MS Teams).
- Excellent analytical thinking with regards to identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
