Head, Product Management – JHB needed at Standard Bank Group

Job Description

• To develop and drive Transaction product strategy aligned to SBG strategy, simplify delivery and ensure market leading product design, coordination, and prioritization around product development, management and enhancement. To manage product P&L performance to support Product and Relationship Banking in achievement of our strategy to outperform. The role is accountable for the end-to-end product management and product performance.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree Specializing in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics

Experience Required

• 5- 7 years of banking experience preferably in a product management role
• 5- 7 years of experience in product development and management
• Excellent understanding of how to commercialize a product and mobilize front line teams to ensure the performance of the product.
• Project management experience
• A thorough working knowledge of a Transactional Banking environment with good exposure to Transactional products (deposits, lending and some domestic issuance product knowledge) and the value chain Experience in client facing sales / solution environments.
• Maintain a network of key stakeholders to enable sales and servicing of clients
