Job Description:
- The role is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of the Central Cleaning Plant (CCP) processes and teams, ensuring that operational targets are met. This will include cleaning, sieving and distribution of DBCM and Contract client productions. The role further requires a constant focus on team and talent development, ensuring effective team engagement as well as commitment to the Zero Harm culture.
Key Tasks:
- Safety, Health and Environment
- Responsible for instilling a Zero Harm culture in area by showing proactive leadership
- Responsible for meeting the areas SHE objectives and targets
- Ensure that all permits and certifications are in place to ensure a safe working environment
- Plan and co-ordinate all diamond cleaning and weighing activities
- Developing and applying daily plans / schedules for the work area / resources to meet targets as set out in the production plan and monitoring the production workflow taking into account individual skills, abilities, development needs and resource availability
- effectively coordinating CCP equipment maintenance with Technical Support Services
- Security
- Compliance with procedures
- Clean audit
- Manage and improve departmental performances
- Overseeing the maintaining and updating of the Mini Business Area (MBA)
- Defining priorities, targets, objectives and individual responsibilities and check that each team member understands them
- Providing regular feedback on work progress according to departmental requirements.
- Continuous Business Improvement
- Optimizing processes and systems by reviewing current systems and seeking room for improvement
- Identifying and analysing trends and problems using data collated and mitigate against any possible revenue losses.
- Staff performance and development management
- Communication Processes management
- Governance and Risk Management
- Ensure that all staff are trained on applications of policies, procedures and work practices
- Review and update all CCP procedures and work practices as per business requirements
- Drive compliance with policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- N.Dip Chemical Engineering or Production/Process/ Management
- Supervisory Course/ Training is advantageous
Experience:
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Process management skills
- Project Management experience will be an advantage
Role specific Knowledge:
- Technical Chemical Handling knowledge
- Analytical skills
- Decision making skills
