Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with patients to help them overcome physical, emotional, and mental obstacles that may be impeding their ability to perform everyday tasks.
  • The Occupational Therapist will develop treatment plans, provide therapy sessions, and monitor progress to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and mental capabilities to determine their specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy sessions to help patients improve their motor skills, cognitive abilities, and functional independence.
  • Teach patients self-care techniques and adaptive strategies to help them participate in daily activities more effectively.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner.
  • Stay current on advancements in occupational therapy techniques and treatments through continuing education and professional development.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff, such as occupational therapy assistants and aides, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to assess and adapt treatment plans based on patients’ progress and changing needs.
  • Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and assistive devices.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients with physical or cognitive challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
