Artisan Roll Grinder needed at Columbus Stainless

Key Performance Inidcators 

• Identify material defects and correct them through defect removal
• Perform roll grinding – while ensuring removal of all defects to final correct size 
• Ensure Compliance with Safety regulations by performing regular safety inspections, reporting of unsafe acts, ensuring equipment repair and maintaining all systems intended to ensure a safe workplace.
• Controlling roll removal by actively grinding just what is needed from the rolls.
• Strip and build shocks – preparation of rolls, building of sets as per SWI.
• Ensure adhere to critical adjustments on shock sets, and update of (RSMS) Roll shop Management System.
• Strip and build shock sets as quickly as possible to prevent delays on the Mills from waiting for sets.

Qualification

• National Senior Certificate/Grade 12-with Mathematics and Science (N4)

Experience

• 3-5 years as operator in manufaturing environment
• Experience in Rollshop/Workshop environment will be advantageous
