Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Manager Commercial Property Management, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

  • Negotiate and conclude new property leases and renewals with prospective and existing customers.
  • Ensure and follow up lease compliance by Lessee and ACSA
  • Key Lead member of Bid Evaluation Committee.
  • Establish, determine and manage internal and external relations, including the interface with relevant government authorities to ensure organisational needs are met.
  • Research economic models and motivate/negotiate changes with business partners and Board. Review and update contracting models aligned to adopted economic model and best legal practice.
  • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
  • Perform trend analysis and internal audits.
  • Review business reports on customer usage and financials.
  • Consolidate and report on group performance as required by Exco, Board and integrated financial reporting standards.
  • Forecast deviations and take long-term proactive action.
  • Initiate external audits.
  • Manage and analyse commercial performance
  • Manage the Company’s risk exposure through identifying, implementing and maintenance of risk control measures to minimise the Company’s liability.
  • Grow and position cash flows whilst managing risk.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective and regular communication of new statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures to ensure full awareness amongst employees and contractors.
  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of organizational standards, policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full compliance.
  • Plan, organise, lead and control subordinate’s activities to ensure sub-functional objectives are met or exceeded. 
  • Coach team and create a pro-learning environment. Assess team development needs and close gaps.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

  • Bachelor Honours Degree in Commercial, Property, Retail is essential. 
  • 8 years’ experience in Commercial Management or Assert Management is essential 
  • 2 years’ people and Stakeholder Management experience is essential.
  • 3 years’ Airport Commercial Management experience is recommended 
  • Code B motor vehicle license.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office.
