Temp Boilermaker needed at NOV

Job Description

• NOV South Africa is seeking an experienced temporary Boilermaker. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating items and products to drawing specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Roll plates, bend material, and operate guillotines
• Tack work to required code specifications
• Fabricate items from specified drawings
• Operate a heavy crane
• Use manual and automated flame cutting machines
• Follow quality control procedures
• Ensure work is completed within allotted timeframes

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2-5 years of heavy engineering experience
• Proficient in using benders (small, medium, and large), croppers, punches, shears, and all types of rollers
• Skilled in cutting materials using cutting torches, heating torches, and plasma cutters
• Experienced in operating guillotines (small, medium, and large)
• Capable of boilermaking, structural work, and general manufacturing
• Able to strip, repair, renew, and replace components on diesel and electrical locomotives, as well as wagons
• Skilled in pipe fabrication and fitting

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant trade test certificate
