Teacher- Mathematical Literacy Grade10 -12 needed at ADvTECH

Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the curriculum for Mathematical Literacy in grades 10-12
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students, promoting active participation and critical thinking
• Provide instruction and support to students in understanding mathematical concepts and solving problems in practical scenarios
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve academic success
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans and projects that integrate Mathematical Literacy with other subject areas
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or challenges
• Stay current on educational best practices and resources for teaching Mathematical Literacy, incorporating new strategies and technologies into instruction as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field
• Teaching certification or credentials in the relevant subject area
• Experience teaching Mathematical Literacy in grades 10-12 or related levels
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and practical applications relevant to the curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans and activities that challenge and motivate students
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth as an educator
