Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management/Logistics or equivalent qualification
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience within a medium to large organization of tenders in excess of R500 million of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory level in procurement
- Technical knowledge in Demand Management, Acquisition Management, Logistics, Risk Management, Audit, Stores,
- Database management, control implementations and performance management.
Recommendation
- Professional body membership such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or similar organization would be highly advantageous
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Develop, implement and manage procurement policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement and manage the CPUT stores system together with the related policies and procedures.
- Manage and monitor the performance of CPUT’s Stores and procurement staff.
- Generate periodic management reports for management and store items.
- Prepare and liaise with audit in the conducting of both internal and external annual audits.
- Database implementation, management and Risk management.
- Human resource management
- Any ad hoc function as required by your line manager
