Duties & Responsibilities

Stakeholder Relations Management

  • Responsible relations with the Project Support Committee (PSC)
  • Responsible for Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Plan 
  • Ensure that community stakeholder groups are informed of all decisions and activities undertaken.
  • Spearheading the processes of asset mapping and community needs analysis, program development and projects implementation and monitoring and evaluation
  • Managing the Stakeholder Relations Managers / Community Liaison Officers for allocated projects.

Project Management

  • Ensure co-design of projects with locals, implementation and monitoring performance, identifying all project risk
  • Monitor the performance of all activities in terms of schedule
  • Identify and manage all project risks.
  • Compile board packs for sites
  • Responsible for Department of Energy obligations regarding quarterly SED and ED spend for all assets
  • Development of yearly Economic Development plan and reporting to the IPPO
  • Management of assets both wind and solar
  • Reporting to the lenders on IFC and Equator Principles Performance Standards

Budget Management 

  • Ensure that quarterly spend targets are met (and create and implement strategies to avoid related risks).
  • Event Organisation 
  • In partnership with PSC and SRM organise community meetings and events to introduce, report on and celebrate project progress.
  • Partnerships & Collaboration
  • Constantly identify partners to collaborate with on various tasks.
  • Participation and representation in the renewable industry associations
  • Collaborate with other IPP’s where EGP is present

Required Skills/Knowledge

Minimum Bachelor Degree

  • 5+ Years’ Experience in: Project management/ management consulting/ community development 
  • Experience in Economic Development Reporting within REIPPPP
  • Excellent reporting and writing skills
  • Ability to articulate and deliver information both technical and general at the community level.
  • Mediation, Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Monitoring and evaluation capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate all levels of society.
  • Proficiency in the operation of computers and knowledge of business support software including Word, Excel, SAP, and Outlook.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Project management skills
  • Facilitation skills
