Key Performance Areas:
- Execute preventative maintenance on the facility building, plant and equipment.
- Supervise activities of maintenance staff.
- Capturing for Purchase Requisitions on Finance Workflow System.
- Be involved in planning and scheduling of maintenance.
- Report progress and scheduling preventative maintenance.
- Report maintenance status per monthly – and quarterly report.
- Successful training and certification of staff in statutory and regulatory work procedures.
- Effective management of training system.
- Control maintenance budget expenditure.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance system for Vaalputs.
- Supervise the Vaal puts Maintenance team.
- Active member of Vaalputs investigation team, emergency team etc.
- Training of personnel in licence, relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.

- Experience in writing procedures, instructions and reports.
- Wireman’s license for electrical installations.
- Execute preventative maintenance on facility buildings, plant and equipment (electrical, mechanical and civil);
- Pneumatic and hydraulic background and understanding.
- Valid EB driver’s license
- Medically fit to be registered as an occupationally exposed worker. (noise, chemical, working on heights, working confine spaces etc
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and MS Projects
- Knowledge of Nuclear Licensing (NIL28) and Process Base Licence (PBL)
- In basic knowledge of Integrated Management System , specially ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 18001:2007
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Qualified Artisan Electrical with Trade Test.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as qualified Installation Electrician.
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Experience as Competent Person in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
- Experience in planning, scheduling and executing tasks and projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Experience in writing procedures, instructions and reports.
