KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research and development

• Publish in accredited journals, conference proceedings, research mentorship, serve in research committees and bodies.

Supervision:

• Postgraduates’ supervision.

Teaching:

• The teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Grant proposal:

• Sourcing of research fund.

3rd stream income:

• Introduction of 3rd stream income.

Curriculum development:

• Course development and curriculum.

Management and marketing:

• Assist in the management activities of the school and stakeholder relation

Minimum requirements

• A master’s degree in Tourism Management (NQF level 9).
• A minimum of 3 (three) years’ relevant work experience in lecturing.

RECOMMENDATION / ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• Studying towards a PhD degree in Tourism Management in an advanced stage (NQF level 10).
• A minimum of 2 (two) years’ relevant work experience in the tourism industry.
