Objectives Tasks

Relationship Building       

  • Network with Learning practitioners in other businesses (through external forums, conferences (national and international) and establish, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Liaise with internal and external Stakeholders regarding compliance requirements and deliverables needed.

Compliance Management

  • In collaboration of Senior Manager (SM) ensure proactive management and delivery of insights and reports on compliance requirements including but not limited to BBBEE (Skills development, Management Control), Employment Equity, inclusive of other elements for global compliance including people elements of the Global Reporting Index, Social and Ethics Committee , ESG Committee ,Integrated Annual Report and EXCO meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager (SM) Learning & Development and Senior Manager Talent Management to establish plans and interventions that delivers upon the transformation targets and commitments by the group and respective companies.
  • Accountable for the Skills compliance and reporting function end to end for the Legal Entities under the Multichoice Group.
  • Responsible for managing and delivering on reporting and compliance requirements on skills development.
  • Assist compliance team on research and delivery of insights and reports.
  • Proactively scan and manage regulatory landscape on changes in both global and South Africa impacting Skills, Employment Equity and B-BBEE Compliance.
  • Collaborate with industry and governmental partners to scan for potential legislative change

Compliance Operations    

  • Oversee and manage planning and governance of compliance requirements related to management control, employment equity and skills development.
  • Management of the annual B-BBEE audit for Skills Development and Management.
  • Organize and conduct Management Control and Skills Development assessments quarterly in preparation and alignment for the B-BBEE audit.
  • Curate and manage the BBBEE skills compliance requirements and work closely with SM Learning & Development and the L&D Team on interventions, monitoring and reporting requirements.
  • Work together with SM in establishing partnerships with Learning & Development, Talent Management, Human Capital Business Partners (HCBPs) and business to drive management and reporting on Skills Development reports.
  • Implement and monitor key skills programmes in partnership with the Learning & Development and Talent management teams.
  • Establish ways of working with Learning and Talent teams to ensure learning plans, budgets and actuals are accurately captured on system monthly and filed accordingly.

Compliance System Management

  • Be proactive in being customer centric and positive in the role that grows the brand and reputation of Human Capital compliance portfolio.
  • Ensure all B-BBEE systems are accurate and updated, including up to date people information, training spend, occupational data, company structure information and training interventions.
  • Manage, monitor and track learning plans, budgets and actuals in collaboration with the L&D Team.
  • Drive and manage accurate timeous monthly and quarterly reports to the relevant internal management forums and ensure action Items are resolved as per expectations.
  • Ensure BBBEE reports are accurate and distributed timeously to stakeholders to improve decisions on achieving transformation targets.
  •  Ensure all data recorded, captured and reported on are accurate and updated.

Governance

  • Manage systems and processes to supply accurate and complete data for regulatory reporting (WSP, ATR, B-BBEE and other reports)
  • Ensure processes and systems contain proper records of training are kept (including electronic LMS)
  • Provide monthly reports for Group businesses on progress against the Skills Development Plan
  • Oversee the process of the recovery of training expenditure from the SETA and business units

People Management         

  • Work with the team to achieve excellent business results through continuous people development and mentoring activities.
  • Build customer centric, positive and highly responsive approach to customers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and manage the development of specialist and/or coordinators in the team through embedding skills development/training, coaching and performance development initiatives to help grow their experience and learning journey for future growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • SDF qualification
  • B-BBEE MDP Advantageous

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role within B-BBEE, Employment Equity and Skill Development is essential.
