  • We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Recruiter & Recruitment Administrator to join our talent acquisition team. This dual-role position offers a blend of recruitment and administrative responsibilities, ensuring seamless hiring processes and efficient support for the HR team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for recruitment, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What you will love doing in this role

Recruitment Activities

  • Source candidates using job boards, social media platforms, and other sourcing tools.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles.
  • Review resumes and applications to match candidates with job requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess candidate suitability.
  • Draft compelling job descriptions and post them across job boards, career sites, and social media platforms.
  • Ensure job postings are current, accurate, and aligned with company branding and messaging.
  • Provide timely updates to candidates on their application status.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication, professionalism, and support.
  • Support hiring managers in understanding role requirements and creating job briefs.
  • Facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams to ensure smooth interview scheduling.
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly trackers and reports are maintained and updated on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that all data presented for tracking, reporting and analysis purposes are accurate so that we can utilize the information gained to make effective talent decisions.

Recruitment Administration

  • Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Send interview invites, confirmations, and reminders to all relevant parties.
  • Draft and issue offer letters, contracts, and pre-employment documentation.
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have all the necessary tools and access on day one.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the ATS.
  • Track and report on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and candidate feedback.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with labor laws, company policies, and data protection regulations (e.g., POPIA).
  • Maintain a well-organized system for storing recruitment documentation and candidate records.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to senior recruiters and HR team members.
  • Respond to recruitment-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and candidates.
  • Oversee the stationary order and approval process for the team.
  • Continuously maintain the Talent Acquisition templates.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that all our job adverts are displaying correctly and are visible on all platforms.

Requirements
What you’ll need to do this role

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • 3 – 4 years recruitment/HR administration experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field – advantageous.
  • Sage300 People working experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience as a recruitment coordinator, administrator, or HR support role is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ATS software or HRIS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and data protection regulations.
  • Retail experience would be ideal
