Generic Requirements:

Additional Requirements: 

  • Four (4) year Degree in Humanities, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing Science or equivalent qualification accredited by SAQA at NQF level 8 or higher. 
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience at supervisory level in managing communicable and non-communicable diseases (HIV&AIDS, STIs, TB and Covid-19). 
  • Must be registered with the relevant professional regulatory/ legislative body and must produce proof of annual paid up fees for the 2024/2025 financial year.

Inherent competencies: 

  • Must have ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and be able to market the HAST and COVID-19 services. 
  • Must display the following key competencies: Working Knowledge of the South African Employment Legislation and policies, BCEA, EEA, OHSA, COIDA, LRA as well as the National Strategic Plan (NSP) for HIV & AIDS, STIs and TB, DPSA Strategic Framework on Employee Health and Wellness (EHW). 
  • Must have Strong data analysis, negotiation and contract management skills. 
  • Report writing skills. 
  • Facilitation and presentation skills. 
  • Project Management 
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, problem solving, conflict resolution. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and willing to travel extensively. 

Core Functions: 

  • Manage the HIV & AIDS, STI’s, TB, COVID-19 as well as the wellness process development through strategies, policies and guidelines/SOPs. 
  • Manage the implementation of the HIV & AIDS, STI’s, TB, COVID-19 as well as the wellness processes. 
  • Financial management and monitoring of the allocated budget. 
  • Manage allocated human and physical resources to the immediate post environment. 
  • Manage research, monitoring and evaluation processes within the immediate post environment. 
  • Establish and sustain partnerships with internal and external role-players. 
  • Manage data generated from the HIV & AIDS, STI’s, TB, COVID-19 interventions implemented in Provinces and Head Office Divisions. 
  • Provide quarterly and annual feedback to relevant oversight bodies responsible for the HIV & AIDS, STI’s, TB, COVID-19 management.
