Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Previous experience in a store supervisory role
  • Basic understanding of inventory management systems (manual or software-based).
  • Able to cope with the physical demands of the job 
  • Being safety conscious
  • Attentive, Assertive and Proactive work ethic
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clear and professional interaction and communication with team members and departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the business
  • Logical reasoning, with a “can do attitude”
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literate
  • Fluent in English (Write, Read, Speak)

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and storing: Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods and equipment, and cross-referencing them with invoices and asset registers.
  • Picking stock: Picking and packing equipment and consumables as and when required for planned and emergency work as per the equipment issue lists.
  • Stock returns: Ensuring stock and equipment is returned and booked into stores when returned from site and reporting any discrepancies to the Resource Manager.
  • Inventory management: Maintaining accurate inventory of equipment and consumables and generating reports on inventory balance and shortages.
  • Housekeeping: Cleaning and maintaining the stores and warehouse area.
  • Stocktaking: Assisting with cycle counts and stock counts as and when required.
  • Data capturing: Capturing data and having experience with stock taking.
  • Receiving: Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received.
  • Liaising with the Resource Manager regarding deliveries and discrepancies in stock.
  • Ensuring all equipment is in a fully functional, and respectable condition when returned from workshop, and prior to dispatching to a site.
  • Updating inventory management systems regularly.
  • Ensure that data related to the stores is accurate and the stores inventory system is maintained and up to date.
  • Occasional delivery and collection of products and equipment from suppliers as and when required.
