Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, Business, Economics, or Accounting.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specific expertise in the insurance sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation and a strong understanding of both international and local trends affecting the insurance sector.
  • Experience in monitoring, compliance management, risk management, project management, and people management.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills, particularly across cross-functional areas, will be an added advantage.

  • Contribute to legislative amendments and represent the department in international forums when necessary.

  • Recommend and implement changes based on supervisory project findings to support departmental objectives.
  • Apply a risk-based approach to prioritize deliverables and allocate resources effectively.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders on conduct-of-business supervisory matters.
  • Collaborate with senior management on operational and strategic issues.
  • Address complex matters with financial institutions, particularly insurers.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with international and local regulatory stakeholders.
