Job Description

• An established organisation within the engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking a driven and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join their commercial team.
• This is an exciting opportunity for a results-focused sales professional with a strong understanding of the engineering and manufacturing environment and an established network within the Port Elizabeth region.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, engineers and procurement decision-makers.
• Conduct technical presentations and provide tailored product and service solutions.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals, tenders and quotations.
• Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' proven technical sales experience within engineering, manufacturing or heavy industrial sectors.
• A post-matric qualification in Sales, Marketing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field will be advantageous.
• Valid South African Code 8 (EB) unendorsed driver's licence and willingness to travel regionally.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate specifications and solutions clearly.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding technical sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
