Fundamentals

  • The Field Assistant works directly on farm, supporting the Technical Sales Representative (TSR) with demand generation trial work. This professional is essential for building and maintaining good relationships with sales team, as well as identifying customer opportunities and needs to report them to the TSR. Frequent presence in the fields and distribution channels strengthens operational performance.

Major responsibilities

  • Visit farms together with a TSR to conduct trial work;
  • Remember that contact with researchers and consultants should be made by the TSR /Market Developer (MD)
  • Setting up and conducting fields trials with Stoller products, according to the TSR’s protocols and instructions,
  • You will not be responsible for defining which client carries out field assembly and pole areas. This should be done by the TSR and MD.
  • Conduct visits together with the Market Developers for data collection through the season and during the harvest with the aim of: application, evaluation, taking photos of treated and untreated areas (plants and roots).
  • It does not mean interpreting the results of the demonstration fields (technical and economic), and it cannot share information with the client without prior validation from the TSR / DR.
  • Contributing to events held by Stoller for partners, with regard to: setting up the structure, laptop, sound, hiring food and drink for the day and reserving physical space for the event;
  • You will not be responsible for giving lectures and training sessions.
  • Contributing to gathering information on competitors. Building good relationships channel sales staff; Contribute indirectly to Stoller’s progress in the region, always being aware of customers and possible needs, to pass on to the TSR.
  • It doesn’t mean being responsible for the sale and/or technical recommendation.
  • Being frequently present in the field and distribution channels, strengthening relationships, operational action in generating demand.
  • It’s worth remembering that TSR and DR s are responsible for planning actions with clients, interpreting field results and putting together more elaborate presentations.
