About the Role:
- This role is accountable for commercially driving this category and delivering against the Ready To Drink business P&L.
Role Responsibilities:
- Customer Centric Portfolio Development.
- Ensure the right mix of flavours, formats and price points.
- Fit for purpose route to customer.
- Expand and optimise distribution across on-trade and off-trade channels and digital e-commerce platforms.
- Cold Chain availability.
- In store category management agenda.
- Knowledge in cold chain handling and storage, by finding cold chain solutions for market growth.
- RTM for access and availability of RTD variants in strategic cold chain.
- Ensuring brilliant execution with every customer interaction, across all channels and segments.
- Working with other senior functional leaders (finance, supply chain, distribution).
- Coaching the the salesforce on best in class execution of RTDs and the Cold agenda.
- Onboarding of co-packers, logistics service providers and integration of RTDs into Diageo South Africa.
Experience / skills required:
- BCom, BTech – Economics, Accounting, Marketing & Sales or relevant business qualification.
- Commercial experience in FMCG is advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- 7+ years’ experience cross functional experience, mostly commercial.
- 5 years management role with ability to demonstrate successes in leading, building and developing strong teams.
- Leadership of matrixed teams operating in complex, multi-channeled settings
- Strong knowledge & demonstrated delivery in challenging trading environments; understanding of channel, pricing, negotiations and strategy development
- Negotiation and conflict resolution for customer.
- Inspirational leadership; people management and leadership
- Strategic data and market analysis for decision-making
- Talent acquisition; coaching; networking and influencing; communication.
- Selling skills; business acumen, planning; negotiating; training and development; performance management; systems and problem solving
