Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• An electrical qualification with a minimum of N3 and a wireman’s license – 3 – 5 yrs experience
• Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the company standards for medical fitness
• Must have sound knowledge and understanding of the mining environment
• Must have a good understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to the quarry
• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Planning and decision-making skills
• The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Electrical duties

• Executing daily electrical maintenance (PM maintenance scheduling and ensure all electrical equipment operates to required OEE’s)
• Installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical systems, machinery and equipment
• Identifying causes of electrical dysfunctions and repairing
• Compliance with all electrical work to SANS0142
• Devising and implementing electrical maintenance plans
• Complete required legal inspections and maintain the required SHE system
• Maintain all electrical drawings

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Millwright duties

• Install, align and dismantle heavy industrial machinery and equipment
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, bearings and hydraulics systems
• Conduct trouble shooting and root cause analysis on mechanical breakdowns
• Ensure proper lubrication, alignment and balance of machinery to prevent wear and tear
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Adherence to the Mine Health and Safety Act
