Purpose
- To manage the Finance and Administration functions in line with legislated, contractual and acceptable financial standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Control and Management of the entire Financial and Administration system and function
- Taxation
- Control and Management of the entire Financial and Administration system and function
Specific Responsibilities
- Management of the Financial system (Sage ERP X3)
- Functional governance and regulatory compliance
- Financial and commercial review of material tenders/contracts
- Monitoring and reporting of sub-contractors
- Prepare BOC Exco / Board meeting Pack in agreed format issued to BOC directors within the BOC deadline dates.
- Preparation of BOC audited Annual Financial Statements for the financial year, produced in compliance with IFRS within the BOC deadline dates.
- Manage company’s taxation affairs in its entirety through ensuring compliance with all legislation relating to VAT, Company Taxation and Employees Tax.
- Management of financial and administration staff
- Co-ordinate, prepare and submit to the CFO within deadline dates the Annual Budget, and Forecast requirements of RATP Dev.
- Monitor compliance and report deviations in respect of the Budget and Business Plan
- Assist in the development of the Budget
- Approval of all EFT and cheque payments in terms of BOC’s Levels of Authority
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance to the Financial Procedures Manual.
- Business Risk Analysis and reporting.
- Completion and submission of Statistical returns.
- Review of Stock reconciliations and verification of Physical Stocks.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Profile
- Educational Level
- Degree (Finance / Business)
- Other Technical/ Professional Skills/Qualifications
- Must have handled similar Finance and Administration functions.
- Must understand all statutory reporting and compliance issues
- Budget preparation and monitoring.
Years of Experience
- At least 8 years working experience.
- Language Ability
- Fluency in English
- Desirable Traits
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to communicate with staff of all levels
- Good problem-solving skills
- Must have a high quality of work
- Ability to cope under stress.
