Electronics Technician needed at Truworths

Key Responsibilities    

• Provide technical support to DC
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to
• Ensure the optimal performance of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to address electrical-related issues and support ongoing operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
• Feed Back on breakdowns
• Overtime support when needed
• Control of stock and critical spares
• Adhere to all safe working procedures
• Housekeeping 5 S
• Perform inspection of various H&S required registers

Qualifications and Experience    

• +3 Years Technical or maintenance experience with a strong knowledge of conveyors and motors
• Red seal trade test certificate
• Minimum NQF level 3 qualification
• PLC knowledge and programing
• Relevant technical qualifications or certification in electrical engineering or a related field
• Valid driver license
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management
• Required to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed
