Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic systems within the distribution center
- Repair and replace faulty electronic components and systems to ensure minimal downtime
- Collaborate with the team to implement automation processes and preventative maintenance strategies
- Ensure all work is documented, including maintenance schedules and repairs made
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean, efficient work environment
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems
- Support with PLC programming and diagnostics as required
Requirements:
- Minimum NQF Level 3 qualification (essential)
- Red Seal Trade Certificate (essential)
- Proven experience working with PLC systems and automation processes
- In-depth knowledge of conveyor belt systems and preventative maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (essential)
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
