The St Mary’s DSG Foundation exists primarily for the establishment of a fund which will finance bursaries for students whose parents would not ordinarily be able to afford the school fees, and in the long term to establish a fund which will secure future capital development of the school. It is als… read moreo used to provide short term financial assistance to families who may experience financial challenges during the academic year.
Along with providing financial assistance to parents and funding our bursary programme the Foundation has in the past funded capital projects such as the building of the main reception area, the school shop, and the refurbishing of the board room centre.
Some of our parents had elected to contribute to the St Mary’s DSG Foundation fund via their school accounts that were debited termly. For these donations an annual section 18 A receipt was always issued, and this donation is deductible for tax purposes when submitting your annual tax return.
