Key Outputs and Accountability

  • Manage Customer portfolio and Customer Retention through good customer contact and relationship building and excellent service levels
  • Secure Business Agreements (Service Level Agreements) and drive and grow business to maximize Portfolio Revenue
  • Provide accurate management and forecasting related to finance : revenue, manpower, fleet, service costs, cash, profit
  • Ensure that Accounts Receivable are within targets by managing the DSO
  • Ensure that service planning and routing compliance is in place to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure that productivity levels are at optimum levels to reach and exceed the state of service targets and reduce credits
  • Drive the Health, Safety & Environment agenda in the branch reducing WDL and LTA to improve and meet business targets.
  • Manage employee relations and performance through effective coaching and performance management
  • Maintain and improve service quality ensuring that CVC targets are met and improved upon
  • Manage all stock and branch assets in accordance with policies, procedures and targets ensuring compliance

Skills and Competencies

  • People leadership and management skills with multi-team responsibilities
  • Good understanding of SHE and risk management principles
  • Ability to read and interpret financial reports
  • Good understanding of Labour Law and Policies and Procedures
  • Able to present and communicate information and reports in a meaningful format
  • Forecasting skills
  • Clear understanding how to optimize planning, routing, productivity and service delivery
  • Customer Care skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous Operations experience in similar role
  • Excellent Read, Writing Skills, MS Word, MS Excel, Google, Gmail etc
  • Generic Management qualifications advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years experience (in Service Industry advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and behavioral.
  • Good negotiation skills needed.
  • Numeracy and Computer skills must be very strong and proven.
  • People and performance management skills essential, with strong HR experience through to and including the Labour relations.
  • Proven track record in resource, stock, fleet, manpower, discipline, procurement, finance, debtors, asset and policy management.
  • Experience in contract management required
