Job Description

  • Managing the administrative and reception service for the Senior Manager.
  • Issuing permit for the use of approved showgrounds, parks, open spaces, lecture rooms, trails etc. 
  • Receiving and processing complaints from members of the public. 
  • Liaising with other Departments / Organisations / members public on a wide range of issues.
  • Maintains the computerised record of all their relevant districts, operational / capital votes.
  • Updating a variety of computerised records related to the operation of their Districts. 
  • Recording and monitoring monthly electricity, water and telephone accounts. 
  • Managing the control of the Districts "petty cash"
  • Complying requisitions, service orders and other requests for services for their District.
  • Maintaining statistics related to the operation of their section.
  • Co-ordinating and compiles monthly reports for their Section.
  • Maintaining Trust Fund records and may be required to undertake the banking of monies received.
  • Checking the daily attendance register.Attending staff queries. 
  • Providing relief to the other Administrative Assistants in the Department.

Essential Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 2 Years relevant experience.
  • Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and an Administrative certificate.
  • 3 years relevant experience
