Role Complexity: 

  • Ensure security staff is fully trained in access and emergency evacuation procedures.

  • Cleaning staff is carrying out their duties.

  • Provide a cost saving plan for consumable consumption at the Regional facilities – including Switches, Remote Hubs, Data Centres and BTS sites.

  • Lack of the entire Network integrity

  • Network power and mechanical failures at Switches, Remote Hubs, Data Centres, BTS & Corporate Facilities
  • No work can proceed without an official MTN order.

Discretionary Space:

  • Make decisions on relatively minor issues however decisions on major issues will be made in consultation with the Technical Infrastructure Operations Manager or Regional Network Manager.

Authorities:

  • Reactive and proactive management and fault resolution.
  • Hands on management and managing by walking around.
  • Compliance to the Company’s policy of authority.
  • Approval of work carried out by contractors on MTN premises as per SLAs
  • Engage with required suppliers for Network power, HVAC, BMS and facilities related issues as per specification and approved suppliers.

Minimum Requirements   – minimum necessary, and not the ideal / preferred should be included.
Education:

  • Minimum of 3 year degree/diploma, with wireman’s license
  • Fluent in English 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Technical field.
  • Trade test certification.
  • Basic mechanical experience with exposure to HVAC and gas suppression systems.
  • Site safety.
  • Experience in supervising others
  • PC literacy (MS Windows package).
  • Experience working in a medium  organization
