Job Primary Purpose
- The primary purpose of this job is to plan, design, implement, and evaluate student professional development programmes that enhance academic success, employability, entrepreneurship, and leadership capacity.
Key Performance Areas:
- Plan, design, implement, and evaluate student professional development programmes.
- Provide guidance and support to students.
- Talent Management and Leadership Development.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on professional development initiatives.
- Minimum Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- M+4 Postgraduate Degree in Education/Honours in Education.
- Master’s Degree in Education as an added advantage.
Years of Experience:
- Seven years’ experience in student development, academic support, or leadership training.
Inherent Requirements:
- Prior experience is necessary to understand student needs, institutional dynamics, and programme delivery methods directly impacting student success.
- The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse student populations and stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms is essential for programme delivery, monitoring, and reporting in a modern academic environment.
Key Competencies
- Ability to plan, design, implement, and evaluate student development programmes.
- Ability to support students with different learning styles through providing inclusive academic programmes and personal well being support to students or refer students to the relevant department.
- Academic writing skills.
- Skills to work within teams/ teamwork.
- Coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Competence in tracking, assessing, and reporting on programme outcomes.
