This position of Account Manager, reporting directly to the Cellular Manager, is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will require the successful candidate to contribute significantly with the aim of ensuring profitability on cellular products, to achieve the Company’s sales and profit objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Selecting, proposing, procuring the appropriate product
  • Negotiate contracts and manage service level agreements.
  • Deliver a balanced product range.
  • Manage and drive the execution of product promotion.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships (internally and externally.
  • Research new and existing products, guided by industry trends and customer      behavior, and stays abreast of industry changes.
  • Provide key product performance information through analysis.
  • Achieve budget per subclass.
  • Manage ad-hoc cellular related projects.
  • Managing and administration of products, pricing, rebates, and payments.

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of RSA and other neighboring countries dealing in the    cellular retail market; understanding their customers, competitors, and knowledge of cellular products.
  • Merchant skills and a sound commercial mentality.
  • Excellent comprehension of branding, customer behavior and principles relevant    to value retailing.
  • Relevant product knowledge with regards to technology would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of product components (to effectively negotiate price)
  • Be technology proficient/savvy in Cellular industry.
  • Knowledge of financial supply chain elements.
  • Knowledge of direct sourcing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant Business/Commercial Degree or Diploma 12

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years key account management experience in a retail/commercial and/or cellular environment
