About the Role
The Account Manager drives revenue growth by managing key client relationships and delivering integrated print and digital media solutions. Utilizing HubSpot for pipeline management and SAP for billing data, this professional ensures that all projects meet strict quality compliance and profitability targets. Their role is critical for mitigating operational risk through accurate project forecasting and leveraging data-driven insights to expand market share in the media sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement account plans and approaches in line with the overall strategy formulated by the Manager (Regional / National);
- Develop and implement key account plans and approaches to maximize revenue inflow from these accounts.
- Through a high level of professional and exceptional client contact, actively manage the commercial relationship with clients within your portfolio.
- Create tailored solutions that meet the client’s short and long-term needs.
- Attain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets related to your client portfolio.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for key customers ongoing to achieve predetermined sales targets and margins.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing key clients to negotiate and close deals.
- Keep all administrative work updated
- Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge.
- Analyze potential sales opportunities by using data analyses, segmented research and available information to identify the attributes most valued by these potential clients.
Educational Requirements
- Matric Marketing/Sales/communication or related tertiary qualification is a prerequisite.
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in print and digital advertising sales.
- Negotiation/Sales/presentation skills.
- Fully end-user computer literate (Microsoft Office).
