Key Responsibilities

Financial & Operational Analysis and Reporting

  • Generate and analyse financial and management reports.
  • Capture and verify financial information with a focus on gross profit accuracy.
  • Monitor cost variances, perform trend and benchmark analysis, and explain financial deviations.
  • Conduct market research and comparisons, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Provide financial training to business unit managers.
  • Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Verify fixed assets and analyse inventory (including obsolete stock tracking).
  • Monitor targets and productivity, measuring actual results against KPIs and business drivers.
  • Handle financial enquiries and general accounting functions.

System, Process & Procedure Monitoring

  • Monitor and report on internal control measures and system effectiveness.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • Assist with the development, testing, and implementation of process changes.
  • Support system and process training for relevant departments.

Budget Preparation

  • Gather historical financial data and apply financial/economic indicators.
  • Integrate business model and structural changes into budget forecasts.
  • Prepare, adjust, and analyse budgets with full reconciliation in SAP.
  • Ensure clear communication of budget information to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree with Management Accounting (CIMA) as a major.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial/accounting role.
  • Experience in an agricultural, manufacturing, or operationally intensive environment is an advantage.
  • SAP knowledge is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting.
  • Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • On-the-job training exposure in accounting functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning, organizing, and time management.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Results-driven and proactive approach.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
