Role Description
- This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accountant based in Gauteng, South Africa, with remote work.
What you’ll do:
- Draft Annual Financial Statements (AFS) on CaseWare
- Work with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
- Prepare working papers & handle review notes
- Collaborate with audit and tax team
What we’re looking for:
- Experience drafting AFS in CaseWare
- Knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
- Strong reconciliation skills & eye for detail
- SAICA/SAIPA articles (completed or in progress) an advantage
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budget preparation, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance
- Experience with accounting software and tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in both remote and in-office settings
- An accounting degree or equivalent qualification, preferre
- Previous experience in a professional services or corporate environment is an added advantage
