Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Making good progress toward an Actuarial qualification
- 3–5 years’ experience in an actuarial role
- Exposure to life and non-life insurance is advantageous
- Experience with pricing and product development in the insurance industry
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse mortality, morbidity, and lapse rates (life insurance)
- Monitor performance metrics like loss ratios, frequency, and severity (non-life)
- Compile reports and dashboards for stakeholders
Pricing & Product Development
- Develop pricing models and conduct profitability analysis
- Support new product development and deal structuring
Risk Management
- Perform stress testing and scenario analysis
- Assess underwriting risks and support risk mitigation strategies
Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with statutory and regulatory reporting
- Ensure products meet all regulatory standards
Experience Studies & Assumptions Setting
- Conduct experience studies and update pricing/reserving assumptions
Collaboration & Communication
- Engage cross-functionally with underwriting, finance, and product teams
- Present actuarial insights to senior management and external partners
Professional Development
- Stay current with industry trends and evolving regulatory requirements
- Actively participate in actuarial exams, training, and events
