What You’ll Be Doing
As an integral part of the actuarial team, you will:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance short-term insurance pricing models using actuarial and statistical methods.
- Provide data-driven insights to support product development, rating structures, and business strategy.
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, and data teams to align pricing with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, risk appetite, and actuarial best practices.
- Analyse performance data to recommend model improvements and identify market opportunities.
- Support internal stakeholders with expert actuarial advice and operational input.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ actuarial pricing experience in the short-term (general) insurance industry.
- A minimum of 9 completed actuarial exams.
- Strong proficiency in statistical software, pricing tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., R, Python, Emblem, SQL).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- A passion for innovation, efficiency, and strategic modelling.
