Actuarial Specialist (Non Life Valuation & Reporting) needed at Hollard Insurance

Hello…an exciting new opportunity has just become available in our Hollard International, Actuarial Services  area. We are looking to recruit a Actuarial Specialist (Non-Life Valuation & Reporting)

• To lead and perform actuarial valuations, reserving, and regulatory reporting for the business written through various countries within Hollard International. This role will also support statutory actuaries and contribute to IFRS 17 readiness, enhancing the accuracy and insightfulness of actuarial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reserving calculations and coordinate reviews with external actuaries and auditors.
• Support the preparation of periodic actuarial reports and analysis of reserve movements.
• Assist with reviewing budget reserve estimates produced by in-country teams.
• Support the implementation and reporting requirements of IFRS 17 for GI business.
• Assist in determining technical provisions and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide actuarial insights that support business decisions and improve profitability.
• Collaborate with statutory actuaries to meet local and group regulatory requirements.

Required Knowledge and Experience    

• 5+ years of actuarial experience (preferably short-term insurance).
• Advanced Excel skills; ResQ is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of reserving methodologies and actuarial reporting.
• High attention to detail and ability to deliver under limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Educational Requirements    

• BSc (Actuarial Mathematics) / BSc (Actuarial Science) or similar degree.
• Strong progress in Actuarial exams, aiming for Fellowship.
