About the Role

Focusing on high-RPM expenditure data, this role ensures 100% compliance with procurement and spending regulations within the health department. Utilizing SAP for materials management and Oracle for financial integration, the officer mitigates operational risk by conducting rigorous audits of departmental costs. Their work is critical for leveraging data to enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery and ensuring the technical accuracy of the financial ecosystem.

  • Appropriate experience in LOGIS and BAS system.
  • Document, control, verify, pre-authorise and authorisation of Logis and Bas payments. Responsible for timeous clearance and maintenance of asset and liability accounts. Provide an effective debt control function in accordance with the debt management policy. Assist with the compilation and disclosure of AFS and IFS documentation and reports.
  • Facilitate, attend and provide training and meetings in compliance of financial framework, policies and instructions. Provide monthly reporting and analysis of all financial and supply chain matters. Manage Human Resource Management and related functions within the Finance component.
  • Knowledge of the PFMA, National Treasury regulations, Provincial Treasury directives, financial delegations, financial procedures and instructions. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, BAS, Logis). Ability to interpret and apply policies.
  • No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a practical test. The pool of applicants will be considered for vacancies within Worcester Regional Hospital for a period of 3 months from date of advert, provided that the job title, core functions, inherent requirements, and salary level are the same as those of the advertised post.
  • Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and /or Senior certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focusses on the Key Performance Areas KPAs of the post.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) to attend workshops, meetings and courses.
  • R 325 101 – R 382 959 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
