Key Performance Areas:

• The usage of all HVACR (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration) materials, equipment and tools required for installation and diagnostic tasks.
• Fully interpret and understand drawings, technical diagrams and specification charts required for installation and work repair.
• Apply theories and processes for evaluating and installing electrical system and control gear.
• Follow procedure for the installation, inspection, testing repairing and maintaining HVACR systems.
• Follow government regulations regarding the conservation, recovery and recycling of refrigerants and obsolete electronic components.
• Use information from manuals or vendors to assist with the diagnosing of problems and repair of equipment.
• Complete job cards on installed, maintained, repaired, inspected and tested equipment.
• Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time that are reasonable and within capacity.

Preferred Requirements:

• Grade 12 (with Mathematics, Physical Science) and/or N3 Electrical Technical Qualification.
• Qualified as an Air Conditioner Technician.
• 3 Years’ relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of and skills in all HVACR installations and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of tools; including how to maintain, repair, order parts, proper usage, etc.
• Safety orientated with knowledge of risk assessments, method statement and work procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literate (MS Office).
