Responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities:

Dashboard & Reporting Development

• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that deliver real-time, actionable insights and KPIs.
• Ensure that reporting meets the evolving needs of the business while maintaining high standards of data integrity and accessibility.

Reporting

• Collate and prepare appropriate daily, weekly and monthly activity and performance reports, in accordance with the measurement metrics set by management, for the attention of management.

Budgets  

• Execute projects or initiatives in line with business objectives and budget requirements. 

Data Analysis

• Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for operational improvements.
• Deliver insights and recommendations to business leaders, translating complex data into clear, actionable business solutions.
• Define customer insight requirements/user stories;
• Collect and manage digital customer data;
• Understand and execute customer analytics;
• Analyse competitors, market trends and best practice;

SQL & Data Management

• Use SQL to query, extract, and manipulate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
• Assist in the data cleaning and transformation process as part of the company’s data cleanup initiatives.

Automation & Process Improvement

• Identify manual reporting processes and implement automated solutions to improve efficiency and eliminate the need for large data exports.
• Streamline and optimize data workflows to ensure timely and accurate reporting with minimal manual intervention.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
• Communicate data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring insights are actionable and aligned with business objectives.

Data Governance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure that data sources, processes, and reports are compliant with data governance standards and best practices.
• Conduct regular data audits to ensure data consistency and reliability.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics and reporting tools.
• Constantly refine and improve analytics and reporting processes to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

Education / Business Degree

• Minimum of 3-year relevant degree/diploma
• Fluent in English 

Work Experience 

• 3-5 years of experience in a data analyst role, with a strong focus on data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Proven experience with Power BI for building dashboards and visualizations.
• Strong expertise in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and manipulate data effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data visualization techniques, and the development of macros and VBA to automate tasks and streamline reporting.
• Experience with data cleaning and transformation, particularly in large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from data and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to automate manual reporting processes and improve operational efficiencies.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and integrating data from multiple sources.

Additional Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with additional reporting tools and data analysis tools (e.g., Python).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, data integration, and working with big data technologies.
• Knowledge of business intelligence best practices and data governance principles.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
