Analyst, Product Control – Baker Street 30 needed at Standard Bank Group

Job Description

• The product controller will work in close contact with the Treasury front office and its traders, risk and valuation units, and have exposure to global market products (whether vanilla / flow products or more complex structured / exotic products), allowing the candidate to understand why and how a bank trades on a daily basis and how the treasury facilitates liquidity and risk management for the rest of the bank.

Minimum Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: Post Graduate Degree
• Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting
• Other Minimum Qualifications, Certifications or Professional Membership: CA (SA)

Experience Required

• 3-4 years experience in demonstrated ability to collaborate and build networks to solve a range of complicated problems and analysing possible solutions.
• 3-4 years experience in demonstrated ability to prepare ledgers and financial statements and perform other relevant accounting practices.
• 3-4 years experience in Product Control in a banking envronment.
• 3-4 years experience in demonstrated track record using technical knowledge, logical data driven arguments to influence people and the right reporting outcome.
• 3-4 years experience in developing in-depth knowledge about the Finance Operations capability as a whole and/ or in an area of specialisation, with growing knowledge of core products and business lines that are serviced.
