Application Engineer needed at Valmet

Your responsibilities

• Provide best technical advice to the sales team and customers to develop and successfully implement product and service solutions that will meet the customer’s needs
• Prepare techno commercial quotations that meet customer requirements, expectations and delivery times
• Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and clarifications after offer submission
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, service, finance, operations, product management) to ensure that products and services are modified, configured and offered according to customer needs
• Manage order processing and oversee post-order activities, including preparation of drawings, quality plans, and coordination with support functions to ensure smooth execution and timely invoicing

Expectations for you

• You have a degree in Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in application engineering or quotation. Valves experience is an asset
• Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions of sales, Incoterms, international trade & finance requirements
• Knowledge of commercial documents such as LC/SBLC/ Bank Guarantees etc.
• Experience of finance and logistics related activities in ERP system
• Experience in supporting international Sales office through a centralized support team
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office / Excel / PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, with advanced communication skills for clear and professional interaction across global teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
