Area Cleansing Officer needed at eThekwini Municipality

Key Responsibility Areas

• Responsible for staff control and administration.
• Control the operations of the area.
• Liaise with public, other municipal departments and outside organisation on various concerns raised.
• Actively promote safety and accident prevention in the working environment.
• Enforce bylaws and tariffs and attend to law enforcement of waste management services.
• Represent the branch at various council/ working group/ liaison or similar meetings.
• Plan and schedule the removal of informal shacks.
• Undertake related assignments.

Essential Requirements

Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following qualifications:

• Operations Management
• Environmental Management
• Environmental Engineering
• Waste Management
• Public Management
• Logistics Management
• or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 3 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• 4 Years relevant experience.
