• An exciting opportunity exists with our global mining client for an experienced Diesel Mechanic based in Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintaining and repairing of the diesel fleet, mechanical issues, and routine inspection on the equipment. Minimum Requirements:

• NQF 4 Relevant Trade Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• Min 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment
• Driver’s License

Key Performance Areas:

• Sound knowledge of the Compliance and application of Sect 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing the diesel fleet, managing any mechanical issues and carrying out routine inspections on the equipment
• Maintenance of TMM, Diesel by generator and diesel standby
• Replacing, testing and checking
• Adhere to the jobs and repair procedures
• Housekeeping of workplace to international standards
• Complete all associated paperwork
• Work as directed to minimise equipment down-time and maximise productivity
• Ensuring inspections are carried out on all equipment before use
• Ensuring that all tools and equipment are serviceable and safe
• Day to day cost management
• Report any deviations and incidents to the Supervisor
