Artisan (Mechanical) – Hay Level 11 (Internal & External Advert) needed at NECSA

Key Performance Areas 

• Set up the process for manufacturing products or items in compliance with Work Instructions
• Manufacture elements/control rods from the production run issued by the Section Head, and complete as per route card guidelines
• Work according to established methods for the machining of components or items:
• Complete the manufacturing of components to final machining, and assemble components to final product. Do final machining on assembled product.
• Ensure that the product meets the specifications and drawings and that there are no deviations. 
• Ensure that all materials used comply with quality standards.
• Ensure that equipment is safe to operate before use, for example: shielding covers in front of moving parts, and equipment and tools fastened in position as required.
•  Complete work documents accurately as required.
• Effective HR Controls (leave application, attendance etc.)
• Training in accordance with IDP.
• Supervise trainees and interns in the machine workshop.
• Ensure adherence to Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) and Operational Excellence programs
• Ensure that work is completed safely in accordance with SHEQ and criticality requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified Fitter & Turner or Toolmaker

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years machining experience required.
• Experience with radioactive or nuclear materials handling is advantageous
